Every student will come home Friday, September 4th with 10 raffle tickets to sell at $5 each — help us treasure hunt for a great cause! 🐾
🎟️ How It Works:
1. Write the purchaser's name, phone number, and email on each ticket.
2. Tear off the stub to return to school.
3. On your student's tracking sheet, write the purchaser's name, phone number and email next to the matching ticket number.
4. Turn in all sold stubs and money together.

Bossier Parish Schools has a new policy regarding parent notes and excused absences.
Parents/guardians may submit up to 5 parent notes per school year to excuse absences. Please use the official Bossier Parish Schools parent note template, available on the district website under Student and Parent Resources. This document is also on our R.V. Kerr website under "Attendance" and "Parent Note Template." We will also have the forms available in the office.
A parent note for a late check-in or early dismissal counts as one full day toward the 5-day limit. After the 5 parent-note days have been used additional absences will require medical, dental, or legal documentation to be excused.
All absence documentations MUST be submitted within 5 school days of the student returning to school. If documentation is not received within that time, the absence will be considered unexcused. Your student may bring in the note when he/she returns, or you may email it to ashlie.giles@bossierschools.org.

Time: Doors open at 2:00 PM
⚠️ Important: To find out who your child's teacher is, ANNUAL REGISTRATION MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED!
2. MANDATORY PreK PARENT MEETING
This is a critical meeting for all PreK parents.
When: Wednesday, August 12, 2026, @ 9:00 AM
Where: Kerr Elementary Multi-Purpose Building
⚠️ Crucial Details:
PreK Students and Parents should NOT attend Meet the Teacher.
Please do NOT bring students to the PreK parent meeting.
