Nine Bossier Parish schools will be recognized at the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) meeting for attaining their state Purple Star School designation, bringing the overall total to 25 in Bossier Parish, the most of any school district in Louisiana. Those schools include: Elm Grove Elementary, Benton High, R.V. Kerr Elementary, T.L. Rodes Elementary, Haughton Middle, Waller Elementary, Bellaire Elementary, Greenacres Middle and Princeton Elementary.
The state designation gives schools throughout the state the opportunity to meet a set of criteria to be deemed Purple Star Schools, signifying they meet a high standard when it comes to providing support and various services to military students and their families. More than 3,000 military-connected students attend Bossier Schools.

Attention Parents -
PE Coaches are in the process of assigning lockers this week. Please be aware that your student will be provided a locker combo. We would appreciate your assistance in ensuring they write this number down and keep it some place safe within their backpack. We understand that our returning 7th and 8th graders may be used to this; however, our new students and 6th graders may not be. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student's PE teacher.
