Mrs. Loar’s 6th Grade APP math class reviewed for their Unit 1 Test today by playing Guarantee or Gamble! They worked with their groups to come up with the correct answers to the review problems. If they get it correct, they get to guarantee themselves 1000 points or take a gamble and spin the wheel!! See, math can be fun!
Don't forget students who were present all week get to wear Buccaneer shirts tomorrow. Remember no hoodies are allowed.
Last week, 6th grade science is learning about population stability, increaces, and decreases. They made birth and death token models (adding and taking away organisms) and graphed births and deaths over a period of time to show population stability, increasing, or decreasing over time.

Thank you to Mrs. Delaney and our yearbook staff for making sure our yearbook picture day went smoothly.
BOSSIER SCHOOLS: Parents/Guardians, we want to make you aware that a parish-wide lockdown drill will take place this morning, Friday, September 13 at all schools to practice emergency safety procedures. This is only a drill.
If your child was present all week, he/she may wear a camo shirt with uniform bottoms tomorrow. Hoodies are not allowed.
Students who wear a cami shirt that were absent will call home tomorrow for a change of clothes.

24-25 8th Grade Hall of Fame Applications are now being accepted.
The HMS Hall of Fame is designed to recognize outstanding 8th grade students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement, leadership ability, and citizenship. The HMS Student of the Year is chosen from from the HMS Hall of Fame Members.
The hard deadline for applications with no exceptions is Friday, September 20, 2024 at 8:00 am.
